We will start the day by exploring Responsive Planning - sustaining children’s ideas and learning over time. 

Ever tried to sustain an idea with children but you just can’t get lift off? This session will explore the complexities involved in catching a big idea with children then responding in timely ways to support their ongoing investigation and learning. We will explore the role of research, questioning, small groups, gathering data, re-launching, and team collaboration as essential pedagogical considerations as you enter the multifaceted terrain of inquiry-based learning with children. Kelly will talk through both the practical and inspirational aspects of planning in this way and share case studies of the KGlearning Approach™ to bring it alive.

This session will share documented examples and provide time to discuss the pedagogical and organizational implications of shifting from activity-based practice to inquiry-based practice.
